The Founders
A Junior at Stayton High school, Josiah takes a variety of business classes and he started and runs this company alongside his friend Bryson. Josiah also plays lots of soccer, lifts weights, and loves having fun with friends.
A Junior at Stayton as well, Bryson started Stayotn Shine Co. with his close friend, Josiah, and is responsible for much of the tech side of the business. He's a busy guy, being part of Stayton High school's ASB, and the leadership team for Jesus club.
Partners
Once the business was formed, Meeker was one of the first choices when it came to recruiting hard working, friendly partners. He enjoys playing baseball and football at Stayton High school, as well as spending time with friends. He is also a Junior.
Josiah's childhood friend, Logan, was the other first recruit, brought in to help grow the business. He constructed his own wiffleball field and is the commissioner of the Oregon Wiffle Association as well as playing soccer with Josiah and high jumping. He is also a Junior.
Isaac Meeker and Logan Butenschoen are the first partners at Stayton Shine Co.
Our Story
It all started in the spring of 2026. Me (Josiah Dessieux) and one of my best friends Bryson Urbach were talking about our plans for the summer. We wanted it to be special, one of a kind as it is likely to be one of our last, if not our last summers together. We made all these plans, buying a ski boat, making a movie, watching some of the movies coming out the theaters, and more, then we had a more interesting idea. This was all going to take some money, especially buying that ski boat. What if we started a business together. We researched some ideas, working at fast food, maybe on a farm, but this one really stuck out. It was a way that we could, not only make a little money, but more importantly work alongside our friends, learn how to start and run a business, learn how to invest and plan and so much more. We mentioned the ideas to some friends and they supported the idea so I scrounged up some money by reffing soccer and he got some money he had saved and we got our parents to invest and went all in on this business idea.
